After the CBI court gave a clean chit to senior leader and former PWD Minister Satyendar Jain in a false corruption case on Monday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) continued its strong attack on the BJP on Tuesday. Delhi State President of AAP, Saurabh Bharadwaj, said that Satyendar Jain has only received partial justice. He added that complete justice will only be done when legal action is taken against those who falsely accused and defamed him. Therefore, he demanded that cases be filed against BJP leader and former Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta, as well as officers from the LG’s office and the CBI, who were allegedly involved in the conspiracy.

False Complaint, Biased Action: AAP

Bharadwaj alleged that Vijender Gupta first submitted a false complaint, after which the LG forwarded it to the CBI for investigation. Although the complaint had no substance, a case was still registered against Satyendar Jain. The CBI initiated a probe without proper evidence, leading to continuous harassment of Jain, his family, and the Aam Aadmi Party. Bharadwaj questioned whether such harassment should go unpunished, especially since the court has now closed the case, clearly indicating that the complaint was meant only to malign Jain and AAP’s reputation.

Legal System Must Compensate Injustice: Bharadwaj’s Statement

Saurabh Bharadwaj emphasized that law must also have a mechanism to compensate for injustice. He pointed out that BJP's senior leader and then Leader of Opposition, Vijender Gupta, filed a baseless complaint, which the LG, appointed by the BJP, handed over to the CBI for investigation. Even though the complaint had no factual basis, it still named Satyendar Jain, the senior AAP leader and then PWD Minister, in a fabricated corruption case.

CBI Raid Was Unjustified; Those Responsible Must Be Prosecuted

Bharadwaj continued by saying that the LG moved the complaint forward, leading to a case against Satyendar Jain. His house was raided by the CBI, and his name was maligned in public. Not only Jain, but his family and children were also harassed. He questioned whether there is any legal provision to compensate for such social damage. Bharadwaj strongly demanded that cases must be filed against Vijender Gupta, the LG, and the CBI officers involved in this matter. He argued that if action is not taken, it would be a mockery of the law.

He further said the CBI could have chosen to register a case without naming anyone and conducted an unbiased probe. But since there was no evidence of corruption, how could one justify naming Jain and launching an investigation? According to him, this clearly proves that the entire complaint was politically motivated, and action against those involved is necessary to uphold justice.
